Celkura Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026
1. Introduction
Celkura (“Celkura,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website (currently located at celkura.com or a related domain) and, in the future, when you use the Celkura mobile application (together, the “Service”).
Celkura is based in Australia, and we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Because our Service is available to users globally, this Policy is also written with regard to relevant international privacy expectations, including those under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable to users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Service.
2. Who We Are
Celkura is operated from Australia. For any questions, requests, or complaints about this Policy or our handling of your personal information, you can contact us at:
Email: privacy@celkura.com
3. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum amount of personal information reasonably necessary to provide and improve the Service.
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
- Account information: When you register for an account, we collect your name and email address.
- Time zone preference: We collect the time zone you set in your account so we can display dates, times, and activity accurately.
- Uploaded document data: If you choose to use Celkura's document upload feature, you may upload supporting documents (such as invoices, receipts, certificates, or other files) and information relating to the ownership and purchase history of items in your collection. Because this feature allows you to upload your own files, these uploads may incidentally contain personal information about you or third parties (for example, names, addresses, or payment details appearing on a scanned invoice). We do not control the content of documents you choose to upload, and we recommend you redact any information you do not wish to share before uploading.
- Payment information: If you make a purchase or payment through the Service, payment card and billing details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor (see Section 5). Celkura does not directly store full payment card numbers on our own servers.
- Correspondence: If you contact us directly (for example, via email for support or privacy requests), we collect the information you provide in that correspondence.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage and log data: When you access the Service, we may automatically collect certain information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, and timestamps, generally through our analytics tools.
- Cookies and similar technologies: Our website currently uses only essential/functional cookies necessary for the site to operate correctly (for example, to keep you logged in and maintain session security). We do not currently use advertising or non-essential tracking cookies. If this changes in the future — for example, if we introduce analytics or marketing cookies — we will update this Policy and, where required by law, seek your consent through a cookie banner or similar mechanism. See Section 8 for more detail.
3.3 Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal information (such as health data, government identifiers, or biometric data) unless you voluntarily include such information in a document you upload via the document upload feature, in which case Section 3.1 applies.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create, maintain, and secure your Celkura account.
- To provide, operate, and personalize the Service, including the document upload feature and time-zone-based display of information.
- To process payments and manage billing, via our payment processor.
- To communicate with you, including responding to support requests and sending important notices about the Service.
- To monitor, analyze, and improve the performance, security, and functionality of the Service.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We only use your personal information for the purposes for which it was collected, or for a related purpose you would reasonably expect, unless we have your consent or are otherwise permitted or required by law.
5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share personal information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: We use trusted third-party providers to help us operate the Service, including:
- Supabase — for backend database, storage, and authentication infrastructure.
- Vercel — for website hosting and content delivery.
- Payment processors — to process transactions securely. We do not store full payment card details ourselves.
- Analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) — to help us understand how the Service is used.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers: If Celkura is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a policy at least as protective.
- With your consent: We may share personal information for any other purpose with your consent.
6. Overseas Disclosure of Personal Information
Because Celkura uses service providers such as Supabase, Vercel, and payment processors, your personal information is likely to be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside Australia, including but not limited to the United States and other jurisdictions in which our service providers operate.
Where we disclose personal information to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure those recipients handle your information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, including through contractual protections, standard contractual clauses, or reliance on the provider's own compliance with recognized privacy frameworks (such as the GDPR, where applicable). By using the Service, you acknowledge that your personal information may be handled outside Australia as described in this section.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide you the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account (see Section 9), we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website currently uses only essential cookies required for core functionality, such as keeping you securely logged in. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. Should we introduce additional cookies or tracking technologies in the future (for example, for analytics or marketing purposes), we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly and, where required by applicable law, provide a cookie consent mechanism allowing you to accept or decline non-essential cookies.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Please note that disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
9. Your Rights and Choices
9.1 Access, Correction, and Deletion
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Celkura's Service already provides a self-service account deletion feature, allowing you to delete your account and associated personal data directly within the Service at any time, without needing to contact us.
If you have difficulty using the self-service deletion feature, or have other requests regarding your personal information, you can contact us at privacy@celkura.com.
9.2 Additional Rights
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law, which may include the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your personal information.
- Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Lodge a complaint with a relevant privacy regulator, such as the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au, or, for EU/UK users, your local data protection authority.
We will respond to any request in accordance with applicable law and within a reasonable timeframe.
10. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure. This includes relying on the security measures provided by our infrastructure providers (Supabase and Vercel) and restricting internal access to personal information on a need-to-know basis.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
11. Uploaded Content and Third-Party Information
Where you use the document upload feature to upload documents (such as invoices or certificates) that contain personal information about yourself or a third party, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload that information and that it complies with applicable privacy laws. Celkura is not able to review or control the content of files you choose to upload, and we encourage you to remove or redact any information you do not wish to disclose before uploading a document.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for, and should not be used by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it as soon as possible. If you believe a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@celkura.com.
13. Future Mobile Application
Celkura is currently a website, with a mobile application planned for future release. When the mobile app becomes available, this Privacy Policy will apply to it as well, and we will update this Policy to reflect any additional data collected specifically through the app (for example, device permissions, push notification tokens, or mobile analytics identifiers) before or at the time of the app's launch.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. We will post the updated Policy on our website with a revised “Last updated” date. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as via email or a notice on the Service.
